TWO-SKIN DRUM
Somalia
Membranophone

Cylindrical two-skin wooden drum with a regular shape. It has two stretched membranes with skin braces that stretch the whole length of the instrument. The two membranes produce sounds of a different pitch. In some areas of Somalia, it takes the name of NGOMMA YA MADUNDO. A skin plait is tied to one side of the drum to facilitate its transport.
