GOBLET-SHAPED DRUMS
Senegal
Membranofoni

These are very common single-skin drums with a wooden body and fabric or plant fibre braces. Often, as in the case of the large drums of Chad, they are very tall and are played in a standing position. Normally the drummer has at his disposal several drums of varying sizes, as in the case of the three drums from Senegal which he uses individually or at the same time at different times according to the dances.
